Recovery Care

Whether you undergo a lumpectomy, mastectomy, reconstruction or other surgeries, we can help provide an ideal garment to wear in the hospital and after returning home.

Post-surgical bras and garments
Specifically designed for the special needs immediately after surgery, these garments feature a front closure for easy wear while mobility is limited; soft cotton fabric with smooth seams to reduce irritation; and drainage managment options for peace of mind.

Compression garments
After reconstruction, a light compression garment may help to support the healing process by keeping expanders and implants in place.   A compression belt can be used to promote optimal results from the surgery.


Your first fitting
About six weeks following breast surgery, you should be ready to be fitted with a breast form.  To find a breast form and pocketed bra that is right for you, talk to a professional.

Some points to keep in mind:

  • Look for a warm, caring environment with a certified fit specialists.
  • Get a prescription prior to the fitting.
  • Call ahead for an appointment.
  • Plan adequate time to discuss all your options.
  • Wear or bring along a well-fitted t-shirt so you can see how the breast form will look under clothing.



After surgery, consider these health-wise tips:

  • Begin slowly
  • Walk on a daily basis
  • Slowly get back into your old routine
  • Keep a diary
  • Read about others' experiences
